I really can't believe how low he was ranked at the beginning of the season. Yeah, he gets hurt all the time but he's shown that when he is playing, he'll put up big numbers. His MDP wasn't that risky in my opinion.
For the past three years he has failed to live up to his ADP.
But, this was the first year where his value finally fell to where it wasn't all that risky to draft him.
Once Ian Stewart raises his Average more in line with his Minor League Career Avg (.289), with his power potential, i dont see why he isnt being mentioned amongst the Top Fantasy 2nd Basemen? Stewarts power is VERY legit and i could see him smacking 35 HRs this year, if you couple that with a .275-290 avg (with some luck, .300) and since hes in the middle of that Rox lineup thats vastly improved, he could also rack up 100 RBIs... im confident he could compete with the "Utleys" and "Kinslers"... i guess time shall tell

I see him (ian) dethroning Uggla at the bottom of the top 100.

Ian Stewart is WAY better than Uggla. First, he has more power than Uggla, maybe not by much, but 5-10 more makes a big difference and 2nd, Ian will def have a better BA than Uggla, by like .020-030 points!

I am a Stewart owner but to expect him to hit 275-290 this year is not based in reality. Players don't typically hit for as high an average in the majors as they do in the minors. You may be confusing BA with other stats which do regress to mean (BABIP, HR/FB etc.).
if he hits 275+ it's because he showed us something which he hasn;t shown before. I'm not saying it definately can't happen (before you bump this in 9 months time) but based on track record to date he Ks far too much to hit over 250.
