Jason Heyward Vs. Alex Rios! WHIR

Postby Oatsdad » Tue Apr 06, 2010 3:28 pm

For reasons unknown, someone dropped Adam Jones in my points league. I scarfed him up but had to drop another OF to do so.

I chose to drop Heyward and kept Alex Rios. Yeah, Heyward's the wonder kid, but he's still a rookie, and I think Rios is primed for a bounceback season.

Heyward's still on the FA list to be regrabbed if I'm convinced to do so by you guys. (No waiver time passes in this league.) Should I keep Rios or get Heyward - or maybe keep both and not bother with Jones?

Deffinately Stay with heyward. Not only do he have so much potential. But its fun to see a player become an allstar when hes on your team. If someone dropped jones I would imagine that he would still be available later on. Stay with heyward (hopefully no one swiped him yet)

should i trade pujos for more pitching?

Thanks! Anyone else?

BTW, I'd be more likely to drop Rios to get back Heyward - not letting go of Jones unless a ton of posts convince me otherwise...

Give me the upside of Heyward over the crappiness that is Rios any day of the week.

What does the rest of your roster look like? Rios, Jones, and Heyward are musts on any roster in any league format. If anything, you could use Heyward as a nice trading chip if he strings together a hot start.

Yeah, I agree that Heyward has more upside and is a better trading chip. Especially if he can continue his hot start from yesterday. I would go Heyward....

My OFs:

Braun, Ryan
Upton, BJ
Lind, Adam
Jones, Adam
Borbon, Julio
Rios, Alex

Not willing to drop any other positions - I'm already overstocked at OF as it is...

I'd take Jones and Heyward over Rios.
