I meant how often would it be considered a treat and how often would be considered too much?
Yes doctor, I am sick. Sick of those who are spineless. Sick of those who feel self-entitled. Sick of those who are hypocrites. Yes doctor, an army is forming. Yes doctor, there will be a war. Yes doctor, there will be blood.....
For me once a week is often enough. I love bacon and I'd eat it every day if it wasn't so horrible for you. Industry average when I used to make bacon was 10% lean. No matter how good it tastes, I'm just not going to eat that much fat every day.

Same here. For me I treat myself to bacon (or other things that really shouldn't be indulged in) maybe every other week. I'm not interested in having health problems or dropping dead at age 40. I used to indulge in pretty much everything (literally), all the time; but the past year or so I've become very conscious.
Every now and then, I'll eat fried chicken or bacon, more or less every other week at most. I like balance, eating healthy some days and then indulging in other foods. I usually set a few meals a week for hearty Spanish/Catalan, French and Chinese cuisines, foods I can't live without going a week consuming. Kind of helps when half of your family is Japanese and having recipes handed down to you, which balances great taste with eating light and healthy.
Back on topic with bacon, I normally have a couple of slices of Jamon Iberico a day (Iberian/Spanish ham). Nasty habit, but my goodness, is it terrific and I'll take that over bacon any day.

This is what sushi has become for me.
If I was rich, I would eat Japanese everyday.

I'm not really crazy about sushi, but I do enjoy it, especially when it comes to sashimi. I love freshwater eel sashimi, any time I could get it, and better yet to contrast that with unagidon (teriyaki broiled eel). Some sashimi of prawn, oyster, clam, octopus and some combination of tempura, unagidon, and katsu...and I'm a happy camper.

If I was filthy rich, I'd eat at Urasawa everyday.
