I'm in a 10-team Fantasy Points league which counts for pitchers (W, L, QS, CG, SO, IP, K, BB, H, HR, ER) and I have a starting rotation of Jimenez W. Rodriguez Shields E.Santana Liriano.
So no real top rotation pitchers, although plenty of upside.
My SP bench includes Harang Lowe Morrow Duchsherer Marcum
I need to make a move to activate Heyward from my minors slot, but I need to remove an active player, would you drop Harang or Lowe? While I think that Morrow, Duch, and Marcum have more risk, they have more upside as well.
I wouldn't be surprised if Lowe is done being fantasy useful this season as some of the trends of last year are more than disconcerting. If you're a believer, then just drop Morrow as a LOT has to go right for him to be useful, especially in that division. Sure, the upside is there, but given your relative lack of depth at SP, I'd go for a surer thing. Don't drop Harang, since he should give you nice SO totals that will help his value given your league settings. Also, I'm not very high on Marcum, but wouldn't drop him just yet; I'd shop him aggressively, perhaps paired with Harang, for a minor upgrade... think a Gavin Floyd type.
