Actually if you are gonna correct someone make sure you are correct, a passed ball is not an error.

was saying it would be an error in the general sense, not the statistical sense. If you're going to correct someone, make sure you know the context with which they are using words.

I generally have little sense when posting....statistically speaking, of course. I am not a generational talent when it comes to having the ability to distinguish a general sense error from a statistical error. Maybe Jason Heyward or Ken Griffey Jr. can educate me on this.

rb11, I don't know what you said that got edited out, but you seem like a nice enough guy. I see that you don't have many posts, so you probably aren't hip to all that goes on here at the cafe. Just to let you know, because I like you, I'm kind of a big deal around here, so you sort of have to watch what you say about me.

Also, in my first post I was just joking around with knapp, who is a good friend of mine. We were in boyscouts together, graduated from the same high school, our wives are second cousins (once removed), and our mothers play canasta together on weekends. He knew I was joking. His knowledge of baseball exceeds my own, to be sure.

Getting back on track, Strasburg will be called up to make his first start on the 4th of July.

I'm completely crushing my league in the 4BE category right now.

Second place in passed balls, and fourth in general errors.

Stupid Yahoo doesn't even have a setting for statistical errors though. Complete bullshit. Somebody get Genie on the horn and figure out how I can get GEs and SEs in my league.

Strasburg starts May 21st for their Friday night game against BAL, and throws a two-hitter through six.
Dad would love a shutout, but he gives up a bomb (w/out stewardess) in the sixth before he gets pulled for a six minute standing ovation and two curtain calls. (BTW, I'm also leading my league in curtain calls).
