Slowey for Bailey? WHIR

Postby Jetsfan » Tue Apr 06, 2010 11:33 am

I'm in a standard 10-team 5x5 H2H league....picked up Slowey as he had gone undrafted...a few days ago I was offered Andrew Bailey for Slowey straight up.

Here's my pitching staff:

SP: Lincecum, Gallardo
RP: Valverde, Wagner
P: Billingsley, Sheets, Liriano, M. Gonzalez
BN: Slowey, Strasburg

I am pretty high on Slowey this year but I could use some reliever help I guess. Bailey's injury and youth worries me in the closer role, especially since there are at least a couple other relievers who could steal the job should he falter.

Would you accept this deal?

WHIR promptly.

I have both players on my roster but if I had to chose one, I'd pick Slowey, esp looking at your staff. Although you could use help with your relievers, your top 3 pitchers are solid but the other three minus slowey are gambles. Strasburg is in the minors, while Sheets and Liriano are coming off significant injuries that effected their 2009 seasons.

Keep Slowey

Help with mine?

I think I go with Bailey here. You have 3 legit closers already and I think I would want to sure up my SP with Slowey.

Id say if you can start 3 RP and fit Bailey in there then id take Bailey, if not slowey easily.
