Pick 2 of 5 OF.... ***WHIR ALWAYS***

Postby candyman » Tue Apr 06, 2010 8:49 am

Pretty simple... Pick any two of the following four OF... These would start out as bench guys, so I'm looking for a guy that could become good trade bait, or get worked into my lineup based on matchup/games in a week. I'm looking more for a guy that could "surprise" and give some good numbers. Gradner and Pierre just got dropped, I already had Snider and Milledge, and Gomez has been kind of on my radar in hopes that a change of scenery will help him finally fulfill his potential... My roster and league scoring is below. Thanks!

J. Pierre
L. Milledge
T. Snider
B. Gardner
C. Gomez

Gomez and Pierre.

Gomez is going to be a star, strong chance he makes that jump in 2010. I think people are far to conservative on Pierre's SB totals this season with 40ish. I put him closer to 60 SB in 2010 = ton of trade value.

Snider is still a year away if he actually ever develops. Everyone loves the Lind/Snider comparison but there should not be one Snider is much more of a free swinger.

Gardner is intruiging but I think he platoons a lot more than the yanks are letting on. Thames and Winn will see significant at bats.

Gomez and Snider by far.

I disagree that Snider is still a year away as he's shown some positive improvements in plate discipline and was stronger later in the season last year. Baseball Prospectus loves him this year and has him ranked around 30 overall for OFs. In a small league like yours I think it's the better strategy to go for the high upside guys as there will still be serviceable options on the WW for you.

Pierre for his speed
Snider for his power

I'm not quite sold on Gomez yet he's hitting ahead of a solid duo

Pierre and Snider. I knew Pierre for sure, the other one is tough. Since Pierre will get you the steals, it kinda leaves you with Snider.

Thanks for the help.

Pierre and Milledge/Gardner.

Snider has loads of potential but he still looks lost at this point and is unlikely to be picked up by someone else before he shows signs of figuring it out.

Pierre and Gomez with steals being 3pts both will put up numbers to a power hitter.

30hr= 120 pts
40sb =120 pts
Please help.
