I have been offered Curtis Granderson ($29) for a 1st round pick in the minor league draft..
The league is a 12 team AL only auction keeper league. ($260 cap) We can keep a player for 3 years before either A:Extending him with an increased salary or B: Releasing him to the FA pool. He's in the 2nd year of his contract.
Should I pull the trigger and acquire him?

If he would help push you over the top for this year then I would do it, as he is young enough to have some good value these next few years. But if you don't see yourself in major contention then I would hold off.
Help me?

I took over a bad team. As of now before the auction the only players I'm keeping are:
Beckham ($10)
Jeter ($31)
Borbon ($10)
Getz ($4)
Lackey ($24)
Saunders ($2)
We can keep up to 15 per year.

I think you can find better value than Granderson at $29, until he can start hitting lefties on a regular basis and puts up some solid numbers I would stand pat and keep your pick for next year. As it looks you may end up with a top 3 pick, if not the #1, which you would then kick yourself for trading.

I have to agree with this poster, $29 sounds too much for Granderson. I love his talent and athleticism. However, he still can't hit lefties, he is batting 8th in the order, and his average has never been great. I'm sure your first round draft pick will have more value.
Help me out man?
