I have a trade offer that I wanted to get your opinions on. I have been offered Morneau, Andrus, and one of (Matusz, Price, or Webb). I would give up Kershaw, Nick Johnson, and Tejada. There is no batting average category as it has been replaced with OBP and SLG. There are also two infield positions included with the usual 1B, 2B, 3B, and SS.
Here is my roster: Soto, Votto, Utley, Reynolds, Tejada, Johnson, Huff, Lee, Gonzalez, Victorino, Stubbs and Hafner. Pitchers: Lester, Johnson, Kershaw, Nolasco, Niemann, Soria, Jenks, Marmol, Perez, and Morales. As you can see, I am stacked at pitching, so I can afford to give up Kershaw. My question is, do you feel I am getting enough in return.
Morneau is worth far more than anyone else involved. This is the type of trade you take because you are getting easily the best player. I'd probably take Price out of the three SPs also.
I also do this no problem. Johnson to Morneau is HUGE, and Tejada to Andrus is another upgrade. Its a bit of a shame seeing Kershaw go, but with your staff and what your getting in return it makes up for losing a young star in the making like Clayton. I agree with Aqua also, take Price over Webb (who may not even throw a pitch this year) and Matusz (worse of the 2 AL East teams )
