[Absolutely Adequate]

Has anybody had or will anybody have the chance to see him pitch. I usually don't get excited about pitching prospects (remember the unholy trinity of the early 90s) but I think that this kid seems special. Anybody got first hand information on him?

I use to play ball with him, about four years ago back in Houston. Scotty is a competitor and has some outstanding stuff (obviously or he wouldnt be where is is today). But what helps him the most, and you saw it with Beckett [another H-town boy], is a degree of confidence that will help him over come big situations. He wont be scared or intimidated. The bigger the name, the bigger the situation, the bigger Scotty wants to show off his stuff. I just hope his body frame can keep up with his wing. There is a lot of fire that comes off that arm of his - needs to keep himself healthy to endure a long season in the bigs. Sounds like the Mets are doing well working him in though.

wow were you wrong.... he will be a very special pitcher for my devil rays for a long, long time...... and thank you to the mets for trading him to the devil rays
