So after watching Grandy go deep last night and seeing Polanco match his RBI totals from last year in one game, it's time for Jackson/Damon to step up otherwise we are going to regret those moves forever.

i loled when Grandy struck out on 4 pitches with runners on 2nd and 3rd against the lefty Schoenwiess (probably would have been 3 with the bases loaded but the 3rd pitch was in the dirt)...it was that same long clueless swing i grew to hate

Aside from that LUCKY homer from Betancourt, Verlander looks studly again this year. His new and imporoved changeup looks pretty "filthy"

V still hasn't learned to when to keep his fastball in his pocket. 99MPH means little when there is no break and its expected.
Fortunately the Royals pen imploded.

Not a bad start for Damon, Maggs, and A Jax.
