It WORKED... and the run wouldnt have scored if he didnt do that. I dont gets how thats "showing off". I thought it was a good play and a PLANNED double steal.

Its a joke, chill your grill
Its just surprising to see someone steal home on the very first day. I mean how many times a year does a player steal home? Not very many, so I feel it appropriate to call him a show off.

Except that it wasn't a classic steal of home. Gardner simply took advantage of a big mistake by VMart.

He should have bowed like Ellsbury did when he stole home off Pettitte last season
