Postby stickkeys108 » Sun Apr 04, 2010 8:36 pm

Just had the deal offered to me as I'm trying to upgrade at catcher. The only reason I'm hesitant is b/c I'll be down to 3 SP's until Lilly comes back.

10-team, 4-keeper, Yahoo, roto, very competitive league.

C Posada
1B Morneau
2B Weeks
3B Young
SS Drew
OF Kemp
OF Holliday
OF Markakis
UT Hamilton
UT Pence
BN Carlos Gonzalez
BN Kinsler (DL)
DL Jose Reyes

SP Haren
SP Verlander
RP Wagner
RP Lindstrom
P Nolasco
P Chris Perez
P Jason Frasor
BN Lackey
BN Lilly (DL)
BN Wood (DL)

This is a no go for me... Your OF is fine, 1B is fine, so Cuddyer really has no value to you, and to give up a quality arm to upgrade to McCann at catcher? Nah.

Also looking at it, really how much better is McCann going to be? Maybe 10points on average, 5-10 RBI, Rs about even and HR should be about the same, maybe Brian with 2-3 more. To me thats not good enough to Steal Lackey from me. Also as you said with the injuries your pitching staff is already in rags, stand pat.

Oh yeah, and how can you trade away the #1 catcher in the league right now? Damn Posada is 1-1 with a HR already ;-D

J/K on the #1 C, but seriously, stay put.

Agree, stay put. You need to keep the pitching how it is. Cuddyer helps, yes but not to the extent that losing Lackey hurts.
