Which SP to take a chance on first? WHIR

Postby rib217 » Sun Apr 04, 2010 6:07 pm

I've got one spot to fill on my roster and need SP. Which WW guy should i grab?

C. Young
E. Santana
Latos
C.J Wilson
G. Gonzalez
Kennedy
Hammel
W. Davis
J. Sanchez
Cueto
Harang

I'd really like to run with Latos but feel like E. Santana is the best pick here. Any other thoughts?

I'd try Chris Young first, He had a decent spring and proved he's healthy (for now :-/ ), never hurts to pitch out of Petco either.

obviously its hammels, but I would also go with Chris Young. Hes had a solid spring, and if can return to form would be a great pick up.

heres mine, thanks in advance

Jonathan Sanchez far and wide over the rest there. When your 'taking a chance' on a SP, or 'filling in', then take the high K upside guys. These would be Sanchez, Gio Gonzalez or even Cueto.

Thats how I rank them:
Sanchez
Cueto
Santana
Gio
Harang
Latos

Young, coming off injury is a big risk, and the likes of the 6 I just listed in my eyes have more upside then Young anyways. Hammel is a big upside guy also, but I think those 6 again carry just as much upside, along with a better element of solid production.

Great thanks to soto for the sweet sig!...
