Wasn't really taking his raking in ST seriously. But I'm hearing now that the Cubs are trying to trade Fukodome to make rooom for him.

So they must beleive. Anybody buying.

Problem is the way Kosuke has played well under what everyone expected from him his first two years, added to the fact that hes scheduled to make $13Mil this year and $13.5Mil next year, no club in their right mind are going to pick up that kind of contract right now. Colvin had a monster spring, but like most will say around here ST doesn't mean all that much. Colvin made the roster, but with Soriano, Byrd and Kosuke infront of him he won't see that many ABs this year without a major injury. Also as many people want to right him off, Xavier Nady in my eyes is also still ahead of Colvin given his experience and the fact that the Cubs brought him in specifically to be the guy going into the lineups for matchup issues and days off.

Case and point Colvin will see some ABs this year, but not enough to over take one of our overly paid OFers.

I think he will be interesting to follow for the 1st month. He is slated to be the backup at all 3 OF positions and give the 3 reg's a day off from time to time. Not saying that he's a stud in the shadows, just a guy that is worth tracking.
