I'm not sure about you but even though it's spirng training you can't go against Sean Rodriguez's numbers: 29 hits at 63 at-bats, 20 runs, 55 total bases, 6 doubles, a triple, 6 dingers, 17 ribbies, and 5 walks for a .460 average, .500 on-base %, .873 slug %, and a 1.373 OPS! And has a better lineup around him. Case Stated: Sean Rodriguez.

What about playing time worries for Rodriguez this season? Seems like LaPorta will almost definitely see more plate appearances...

Sure Rodriguez has had a sensational spring, but I dont see him getting the at bats, with Joyce and Brignac around. LaPorta is my choice here.

I really like both players but given the uncertainty around Rodriquez' playing time I'd go with LaPorta. If lives up to even 3/4 of his hype from last year you'll be happy. Rodriguez is certainly someone to watch but I'm very skeptical of spring numbers.
