My Utley and Bartlett for Hill and Reyes (WHIR)

Do I do this?

Give: Chase Utley (keeper contract expires after this year) and Jason Bartlett (could be kept thru 2012)
Get: Aaron Hill (could be kept thru 2012) and Jose Reyes (keeper contract expires after this year)

12 Team H2H League with 6 keepers (a * means keeper contract expires after this year)

9 x 9 categories (R, 1B, 2B, 3B, HR, RBI, SB, BB, AVG -- IP, CG, W, L, ER, ERA, K, SV, WHIP)

no, Utley is the only tier 1 second baseman in the league. i think bartlett is better than hill and i don't think Hill will live up to what he did last year, especially having a deficient lineup around him in Toronto, where Bartlett has a solid lineup with the Rays, easily one of the top 5 lineups in the league, which equals more runs, rbi's, etc. and reyes is a risk as of right now. Essentially, the gain from Hill to Utley is a lot better than the loss from Reyes to Bartlett.

Well put ... I was just giving it thought on account of two things:

1.) I have to throw Utley back after this year
2.) Hill is crushing this spring, so it makes you wonder if his heroics last year were perhaps legit.

So your condsidering this trade for Keeper potential im guessing? On a one year basis this would look like a crazy trade, that you would be giving up alot for. IMO Bartlett has more value then Hill because of Bartlett's 20/20 potential. Utley just seems like to much to give up for Reyes, yes you'll only have Utley/Reyes for one more year. And i just think the infield of Pujols,Utley and A-Roids is just scary good

I wouldn't do it either. I don't think you're getting enough. If you keep Utley you are probably a shoe in for winning the league, lose him and it's a bit iffy still. I don't 100% trust Hill. I'd stay put for now
