Yup I'd do it. I prefer the Utley/Longo combo over Arod/Tulo. Just hope Reyes stays healthy :)

i would, skeptics aside, i see arod and longoria in the same #1 tier amongst all third basemen and the gain from lopez to utley is worth it in regards to the drop from tulo to cabrera. In my league Lopez has the ability to be a 2B or a 1B and Cabrera can be a SS or a 2B, in which I think gaining the versatility of having a SS/2B would be better than 1B/2B, especially considering the fact that you have a 2B/SS flex position in your starting lineup. Both Lopez and Cabrera have had good springs, but I think Cabrera is still the better player and option.

The only thing that concerns me is the drop in power. It seems like I have decent speed so I don't really need Cabrera.

Its Jose Lopez and not Felipe right?
Assuming it is:

Assuming that Power=RBI& HR (based on 09 stats)
Lopez: 25 96
ARod: 30 100
Tulo: 32 92

or

Utley: 31 93
Longoria: 33 113
Asdrubal: 6 68

Your losing a little bit of power but in my eyes the potential combo of Utley and Longoria outways the combo of Lopez who you never know how hes going to do because he IS A MARINER, Arod, and Tulo. Seeing how you have reyes still i wouldnt be to worried about the drop from Tulo to Asdrubal

Seeing how bad Tulo is for the 1st half, I think if this is H2H you easily want the Utley side. It's close overall, but I think you get two awesome pieces there with Longo and Utley.

I guess Reyes has a lot to do with this trade right? With him when he's healthy I'll then be looking at Utley, Longoria, Reyes at three very slim positions. I'm still a bit worried about the loss of power, but I think I'll pull the trigger. I just drafted this team today so I want to get a few more opinions before doing it, pretty big trade for day 1 lol. Thanks for the help guys and I responded to your links

Done deal. My team is a bit of a mess so I'm hoping I can make it decent. When I drafted it looked a lot different than it did on paper, didn't think things through lol.

Thanks for the help on mine, and I am sorry I did not get here quicker before you did the deal. I would agree with the others though, I think it was the right move to make.
