Help My Team: DIDN'T DRAFT A CATCHER!! AHH

Postby husker43 » Sat Apr 03, 2010 1:13 pm

12 team H2H on yahoo ----- Runs, HR, RBI, SB, AVG W, K, SV, ERA, WHIP

I have drafted a team with no catchers. Another team has Victor Martinez and Wieters as their catchers and sends me offers since I said i needed one.

He proposed my Hanley Ramirez for his Victor Mart & yunel escobar. Dumb? Is there a better offer that works in my favor. I have 7 "Closing" Pitchers I might add.

My team without a Catcher:

C --empty--
1B Adrian Gonzalez
2B Brandon Phillips
3B Michael Young
SS Hanley Ramirez
OF Grady Sizemore
OF Carlos Lee
OF Hunter Pence
Util Alex Rios
Util Chris Coghlan

SP Yovani Gallardo
RP Carlos Marmol
RP Rafael Soriano
P Frank Francisco
P Mike Gonzalez
P Matt Capps
P Octavio Dotel
BN Brandon Webb

Maybe......

Brandon Phillips for Victor Martinez?

The only reason why i would propose that is because Beckham will have 2b eligibility, soon.

Thats a real tough one man. I dont like any of those catchers, even though Im a buccos fan... I would have to agree with Tayma, try to snag yourself a catcher for Phillips. You should be able to get somebody better than whats on the FA list...

Of those you've mentioned I'd say Chris Iannetta is by far your best option. Although I do think he'll eventually lose out on his starting job to Miguel Olivo at some point, so when you pick him up keep and eye out.

I'd hit the Free Agent pool. Are one of the Molina Brothers available? I picked up Benji as a backup catcher last year and he actually did better for me than my starter...Russell Martin. Good luck!
