3. Braun - Fielder

4. Utley - Howard

5. Mauer - Morneau

Very tough... my pick would probably be Tex/A-rod.... verrrrrry tough to choose though

are we talking most intimidating or the best? as good a season mauer had last year, i still think the twins 3-4 punch is a notch below the other 4. as for the other 4...flip a 4 sided coin. you really cant go wrong with any of them.

1. Pujols - Holliday - 3rd only because Pujols is baseball's best player

2. Teixeira - Rodriguez - Second best, but basically interchangeable w/Braun and Prince

3. Braun - Fielder- I'd actually take these two over the rest to be honest

4. Utley - Howard - I'll pass, 4th

5. Mauer - Morneau - Not quite on the same level

Where is Heyward? He's a generational player and doesn't need a caddie with him.

To me it's clearly Pujols/Holliday. Pujols has a career OPS of 1.055 and he's only been below that twice in the last 8 years! Holliday has a career OPS of 0.932 and he's maintained that or above for 3 1/2 years (I'm obviously excluding his debacle in Oakland).

Whereas Fielder/Braun have had career OPS of 0.931 and 0.937, and these numbers are over a shorter period of time.

There is no doubt that both tandems are excellent offensive players, but Pujols/Holliday certainly beat out the Milwaukee boys. And if we were to measure them as complete ballplayers, both offensively and defensively, then there really is no argument at all.

Hmmm, I know Holliday finished hot last year but his career numbers away from Coors Field make me shy away from the Pujols-Holliday combo. Pujols is clearly the most feared hitter in the game. I would have to say Teixeira and Rodriguez but that whole lineup is scary so its not just the 3 and 4 hitters were worried about here. The Phillies lineup is also pretty jam packed with talent. But when you face the Brewers, you do nothing but dread those 3-4 hitters... So I would have to say Braun/Fielder has to be the most intimidating in my opinion. I think Holliday is a little overrated but Pujols-Holliday are a close 2nd.

Most intimidating has to be Braun and Fielder. Braun has freaky huge eyes and Fielder is 400 lbs. :-D
The best 3-4 hitters are Pujols and Holliday.
