I send Verlander/Reynolds and get Justin Upton/Kershaw

***EDIT: if you'd do the trade would you take Kershaw or Tommy Hanson? He is also in play.

H2H 12 teams 8 keepers OBP instead of avg 5x5

C Montero
1B Howard
2B Utley
3B Arod
SS E.Cabrera (Reyes DL)
OF Kemp,Span,McLouth
UT Reynolds

SP Verlander,JJohnson, Lirano, Sanchez, Wolf, Price, EJackson
RP Valverde,Qualls,Capps

Ya know, Ive been staring at this for like 5 minutes trying to think of every angle. I really like getting Upton for you, because it looks like he'd really help in that OF. Problem is that I really like Verlander and not that high on Kershaw. Verlander was just nasty last year, often working deep into games, where the knock on Kershaw is that he doesnt. I would have to say that ultimately I would probably do it, but its razor thin for me. It really just depends on how you feel about Kershaw.

Id do the trade..Kershaw is gonna break through and pitch deep..Even if he doesnt and posted a great whip, K, era last year,,the wins will come..I would get rid of reynolds and his low low avg. Upton is an uprgade for ur OF and who knows if reynolds will steal bases again

Reynolds avg doesn't hurt me as much in this league. We us OBP instead of AVG

I would do it -- Reynolds had a great season but Upton is only getting better. Can say the same for Kershaw as well.

thanks for the help with mine!

i thought long and hard about this and i think it comes down to selling high on reynolds. you upgrade on offense, and downgrade on pitching, but not by that much really. your offense would be bar none with upton. kershaw is a great keeper. your staff might take a dip but you still have plenty of K guys to keep you competitive week in, week out. Hanson > Kershaw IMHO, so if you can snag him, all the better.

I'd do it because its H2H, might have some reserves if it was Roto. Less so if you could Hanson over Kersahw ;-D

Thanks for the help. In a keeper league I am loving it. You're getting young talent and Kershaw is going to be great. Obviously he won't be as good as Verlander this year, but give him a year or so, he has the talent. The second trade is up in the air, I like both players a lot, but think I'd still keep Kershaw

It's a no brainer for me. Get Upton.

Tough call between Hanson and Kershaw. I think they both have CYs in their futures. Long term, I'm not worried about Kershaw's control. I'd probably go Kershaw because of park and division. I think his upside is slightly higher than Hanson's. But, it's really a coin flip in my mind.

I am all over this. If you can get Upton and Kershaw for that package...you have to do it.
