Austin Jackson VS. Juan Pierre .. WHIR (serious)

10 team league. H2H.

scoring categories - runs, hits, doubles, triples, Hr's, avg, rbi, ops, total bases, xtra base hits

I originally drafted Jackson, due in part to his hype and strong spring, meanwhile, Pierre went undrafted, and the more I think ... if he can get around 500- 550 at bats, he could be very valuable and probably more of a sure thing than Jackson. Especially since he's batting lead off for the white sox.

So, based on my scoring categories, who would you rather have and why???

I personally like Pierre more... He will hit atop the Sox lineup where as Jackson will probably end up middle pack-end of the lineup. I see Pierre absolutely smoaking Jackson is SB (estimating at around 25-30 more for Juan) and should also take Average and Runs. Pierre gets my vote...

help me out...

I actually really like both players. However when the season is over I think Pierre ends up the higher ranked player. With that said do you have a better option to drop rather than Jax?

Thanks for your response ... I agree, I like them both a lot too ... that's what makes this kinda difficult for me. Honestly, I think Austin Jackson is my weakest OF option ...

i like Pierre i think by more than a little bit. Jackson as a rookie has potential, but could also struggle and go back down?
Pierre i think is a lock for regular playing time all season and could get to his old numbers when he was playing full time back in 2007. he should get 50+ SB atleast with potential for 60+ while scoring 100+ R and having a good AVG. doesnt really have any power, but in that park in Chicago maybe he can get, 4 or 5 HR.

I like Jackson for the upside. If you need a safe pick, take Pierre.

I think I have to go with Pierre here. Jackson will probably have some ups and downs as most rookies do. Plus the odds are that Jackson will still be available on the WW if he starts off hot. Pierre should have good SB numbers and maybe runs as long as he can stay healthy all year.

I don't think many are giving Jackson enough of a chance, but that Chicago lineup is going to be ridiculous this year.....meaning I'll take Pierre in that situation.
