Ok so I'm in my yearly 'pick 3 real MLB teams then form the best fantasy players from those teams' league. I lucked out and got the #1 overall pick, and although I hate them, I had to take the Yankees.
Now I'm up for back-2-back picks, my Team #2 and Team #3 of 3 teams. 12 Team league, h2h scoring... settings: Bats- Runs (R), Hits (H), Doubles (2B), Triples (3B), Home Runs (HR), Runs Batted In (RBI), Stolen Bases (SB), Strikeouts (K), Batting Average (AVG), On-base Percentage (OBP) Arms- Innings Pitched (IP), Wins (W), Losses (L), Complete Games (CG), Saves (SV), Earned Runs (ER), Walks (BB), Strikeouts (K), Holds (HLD), Earned Run Average (ERA), (Walks + Hits)/ Innings Pitched (WHIP)
SP- CC SP- Burnett RP-Rivera RP- P- Vazquez P- Hughes P-Joba (holds and possibility of starting at some point) P- 7 Bench Slots
Still have guys like Gardner, Swisher, Nick Johnson and Pettitte that I may still choose one or 2 from depending on how many slots I have left after my 2nd 2 picks.
My thoughts: I’m thinking about for sure taking the Reds (Votto/Phillips/Bruce/Cordero see like too good of a 4some to pass up?) and then going with the Cubs to beef up my pitching staff.
BUT then I start thinking about stuff, you have squads that I would love to take, but just for a couple players i.e. KC for Butler/Greinke/Soria, Cleveland for Sizemore/Choo, Baltimore for Roberts/Markakis/Wieters/Matusz, Nationals for Zimmerman/Dunn/Morgan/Strasburg, Padres for Adrian/Bell, Stros for Lee/Pence/Berk/Wandy…
So who would YOU go with to make the best possible team to combo with the Yankees? Yankees/Reds/Cubs? Yankees/Reds/Indians? Yankees/Reds/Royals? Yankees/Cubs/Indians? See what I’m saying? I need your help!!
Anyone? Not asking you to pick the players, just asking what your thoughts are on the available teams... Is Greinke or Sizemore or Zimmerman worth sacraficing more depth? Or should I go with one depth sacraficing team, and then one with depth? Would you rather stronger Hitting or stronger Pitching?
I would definitely grab the Nationals, they've got some real good talent in Dunn Zimmerman Morgan, and then its either the Royals if you think you need the arms, Grienke is another ace, and Soria/Rivera is a pretty sweet RP setup, Billy is Huge...... or the O's for Wieters Jones Reimold, theyve got a few young servicable arms Matusz Tillman.
Reds and cubs were my 1st thought , but Washington with Dunn and zimmerman would round out your lineup nicely . I've never seen a league like this , but it seems interesting .
i def go with the reds...second pick is between the royals and nationals...royals have greinke/soria/butler but nats have zimmerman, strasburg, dunn, morgan
hope this helped

Nationals- 3 Baltimore- 2 Royals - 2
Anyone wanna break this thing wide open?
A. Zimmerman/Dunn/Morgan/Desmond/Strasburg B. Roberts/Markakis/Wieters/Matusz/Mike Gonzalez C. Greinke/Soria/Butler
Who will you pick?
I don't see KC myself. Baltimore and Washington have more too offer. I like Baltimore. You get Wieters over Posada, you get Markakis in OF, another closer in Gonzalez, Adam Jones, Matusz as a SP.

Thanks for your response, bro ... I appreciate it.
After reading the posts, I would have to agree with the majority of the other posters. The Nats and Orioles get my vote. Obviously tons of good, young talent on both squads. IE; Adam Jones, Markakis, Matusz, Reimold, Weiters. And on the Nats, Zimmerman, Straasburg, nyjer morgan, ian desmond.
And dude, that's a crazy league you're in ... must be pretty tough. Good luck.
