I have been offered Wandy Rodriguez for Brett Anderson. I suppose he offered Wandy to me due to his awful spring. At the same time i think Anderson ceiling may be higher this year than last. THoughts?? THanks in advance. WHIR!
If its a 1 year league, Wandy feels safer. His 09 should be repeatable with a little bit of drop off. Brett Anderson's inning jump has a chance to mess up his 2010. Depending on whether or not your staff can take a gamble greatly influences your decision. If you have some studs with track records, take a chance on Anderson. If you could use a safer producer, I'd roll with Wandy.

I agree that it depends on type of league and other SP. Wandy is slightly safer because Anderson is the classic rookie SP that dominates his first year and has a drop off in the second year (remember Zach Duke, David Bush, Fausto Carmona, not that I am saying Anderson's numbers are similar just that all had good 1st years and then problems the next year). So if this is one year I would think about Wandy unless your SP is stacked and you can more easily take a risk.

+1
Unless it's a keeper or dynasty league, then Anderson all the way.
