Anyone have an interest in Travis Hafner this year?

Once stud, now never picked up. Does he have any chance of rebounding?

If he is healthy I think he has a shot to bounceback some. The problem is that fantasy-wise 20 HR and a .270 BA from a DH only hitter isn't all that interesting unless you play in a deep league.

For what it's worth, I watched him yesterday with some interest (having slightly forgotten he existed). He just doesn't look good with a bat in his hands these days. I think he went like 1-2 with a BB and a K, but he just didn't look the same as I remember from when he was raking. Adjusting mid-swing (and missing), tentative, just didn't look good. I mean, it's spring training and all, but he doesn't look like the guy I remember from triple-crown-contention days.

Maybe there's some value in the right league, but most leagues there are enough better options for your utility slot.

edit: Shin-Soo Choo, on the other hand, looked phenomenal, like that bat just made sense in his hands. ;-D

Nope no interest at all. Maybe if I was in a deep AL-only league, but I'm not.

Unless you can somehow jump into a hot tub time machine to 2004, I'd say no.

I was a huge Pronk fan a few years ago, but I think he is past the point of fantasy relevance. Like what Pogo said, .265-.275 with 17-25 HRs is not so enticing from a DH only. Combine that with the injury risk, not worth it IMO. I'd much rather take a late flier on a 1B or OF with more upside.

He's had a good spring and I do have interest. Got him for my bench. Would not be surprised to see a 21 HR, 75 RBI, .275 season

Short answer: no.
0-3 to 4-3. Worst choke in the history of baseball. Enough said.

Just drafted him in the 17th in my keeper league. He's in a prime run producing lineup, so even if he doesn't hit 40 homers with a 1.000 OPS, he's still going to have value.

Hafner is a guy who has totally baffled me. He went from so good to so bad so fast, and his story about a tennis ball machine being to blame is just strange.
