Needs Pitching help - suggestions?

Postby Guest » Mon Mar 22, 2004 3:33 pm

This is a 15 team Roto Keeper league. My team was auto drafted according to my ranking. I think I have some great hitting, but my pitching needs help. Suggestions?

C - POSADA
1B - TEIXEIRA
2B - BOONE
3B - ENSBERG
SS - ROLLINS
OF - CRAWFORD
OF - JUAN GONZALEZ
OF - M. RAMIREZ
OF - LUIS GONZALEZ
DH - JEFF KENT
;-D

SP - LOWE
SP - PONSON
SP - REDDING
SP - GLAVINE
RP - AFFELDT
RP - DONNELLY
RP - LOOPER
RP - R. SORIANO
:-t

BENCH:
KHALIL GREENE, BURRELL, WILSON ALVEREZ, JEFF WEAVER, DAN HAREN

I still need to pick up 3 bench players to fill my roster.

Try to trade Kent for some pitchers with K's. You can then put Burrell in the DH spot.

Also, check the waiver wire for some other closing options. Players like Dan Haren are not going to help you, so you can drop him to pick up a closer. If you have trouble finding a closer, you can pick up someone like Valeverde or Ryan Wagner as they should be closing for their teams before the season is out.

Valverde and Wagner are already taken. Its a 15 team league, so players are scarce.

Do you see any other sleepers out there or rookie pitchers that might have an impact?

Deal one of your bats for another closer or starter. Good luck.

Check on Riske in Mil. If all else fails you should look to trade away one of those bats.
