-This one team is lacking power in the OF position and everywhere else for that matter. I am feel that I have a descent amount of a power but am still skeptical as to if I can give up a 100 RBI guy like Lee. I definitely need pitching though, there is no skepticism about that. -12 team mixed league -5x5 plus OPS and OBA (On Base Percentage Against) -H2H Scoring -I had 3rd Overall Pick

What do you guys think, I don't really want to just jump into a trade because I am happy with my team. I just feel like this is an opportunity to bolster my pitching staff. I haven't even offered a trade yet, I am more or less looking for your guys' opinion on what I can do to give this guy Carlos Lee, and get the most in return.
I would wait on making a move like this for a couple reasons. One your staff isn't THAT bad, actually its pretty solid. Carpenter and Wandy are excellent staff starters, Weaver will add in a good deal of Ks with a good W count as well, and a very solid #3, then you have 2 high upside guys to round out your starting 5. De Le Rosa is a great source of Ks, and with that high K rate stands a good chance of another good W total, Coors hurts his ERA, but very solid, and I am very high on Buchholz. Not to mention Liriano sitting there resting on your bench, huge darkhorse and is flat tearing it up in ST. Point #2, I don't think I would want to have to count on Vernon Wells as my #3 OFer over Carlos Lee, not even close.
One thing I may recomend tho is scraping the FA list for a 7th SP, carry 2 RP and cut Rauch as its looking more and more like a CBC (closer by committee) in Minny.
I would stand pat for now. It's often easier to make up ground in H2H so I wouldn't sweat it just yet. I would prefer to see how Cruz and Sizemore start off before dealing your other top OF. More importantly, I would like to see Liriano in action. If he's able to be effective then you have a pretty good starting foursome assuming Wandy isn't a mirage (and I don't think he is). If you are going to offer up Lee, then at a minimum you want Johnson or Beckett in return.

Yeah I agree that with your roster, you should stand pat. You have a good starting staff with a lot of upside (Liriano and Buchholz) and you don't have much OF depth. I think Carlos Lee is the right guy to try to trade, but you'd need a 3rd OF in exchange then.
Give your team 4-6 weeks with this roster and if your SP is still considered a weak point, deal Lee for a SP. If not, well, sit back and watch the W's roll in because I think that's a solid squad.
