Drop Gregg for Capps?

Postby dubstar » Wed Mar 31, 2010 8:51 pm

seems like gregg is king to lose the job to frasor. Capps' era really bothers me. But I guess he has the job. Should I grab capps?

i would do it. even if Gregg is closing, i wouldnt like the numbers he would have with the Jays in the East. both Washington and Toronto are not going to win much so the number of saves wouldnt be that different, and thats even if Gregg closes. if hes not closing i like Capps. i think Capps was injured in 2009? i would think he could get back to the numbers he had in the previous seasons with Pittsburgh, and thats worth grabbing him for Gregg.

help?

I think Frasor was officially named the closer, so go ahead and drop Gregg and add Capps.

Wood is on the wire also, would love to wait until he goes on the DL then grab him first and then add Capps.

The thing with Wood is that even when he is healthy, he might not close if Chris Perez strives in that role, he's got good stuff, just hasn't put it together yet, but with the Indians probably not contending this year, they could roll with the younger Perez and let him get closing experience.

In a heart beat. Frasor's the CL in Toronto and I don't see Greg getting many chances unless Frasor really sucks - and he was pretty good last year.
