Trade Pettitte and E Santana for K Slowey and garbage? Or stay put. Trying to trade up and offer volume for value. Thoughts? The other team is not deep at SP. WHIR!!!!

What kind of performance would you be expecting from Slowely that you won't be getting from Santana.

I would try targeting someone with a bit more upside... maybe Shaun Marcum or JA Happ

Slowey is rated higher than both of those guys in all preason rankings. Plus he is pitching great this spring, yeah, I know it is just spring, but that with the preseason ranking has me thinking......

What does "all preseason rankings" mean?

Are you looking at projections or just yahoo/espn rankings?

Compare the different projection systems for them.. Bill James seems to like Slowly better than the other systems -but even with James in consideration it seems like they are projected about the same - so I am wondering why make the trade at all?
