im not sure i drop any of the closers you allready have for those available. maybe consider Perez for Capps. last i checked Capps is full time closer for Washington? Nationals may not be one of the better teams, but i think he has that for sure and no real threat to lose that job? Perez is closing for now, but hes going to be replaced once Wood comes back? Capps numbers from last season were ugly, but i think he is more of the pitcher from previous seasons when he was closing with Pittsburgh.

I'm actually not going to drop any closers, I just listed them so people know who I already have. I'll be dropping Chris Davis (10 team league and he's my backup to A-Rod and Morneau...I don't think anyone will pick him up yet unless he gets hot).

So you think I add Capps?

if your going to drop Chris Davis then i dont like any of the closers available. you could get a better closer in a trade using Davis than any of those.
i think Davis is going to surprise this season. the power is there for real. the only concern is AVG. he strikes out alot so he might hit .250-.260 but he could go 30+ HR simple playing full time.

I'd go with Capps. Morales and Madson are short-term fill-in guys. Lindstrom is a shaky closer and probably won't hold the job. I actually like Lidge this year, but you have to question his playing time. Capps has a lock on the job, and the Nats get more save opps than you think.

Lidge has the most talent, but I just don't trust him -- he could cost you ERA for the week in any given inning.

I'd go Lindstrom -- the Astros figure to win around 75 games and with their starting rotation they won't be winning many of those by blowout. It wouldn't shock me if Lindstrom got 50 save opps.

I agree here.

Davis has no trade value right now in this league. It's only a 10-teamer.

I drafted him with my last pick, so I think it is safe to say that nobody is going to pick him up until he shows he can mash. Garrett Jones is a free agent if that gives you an idea.

Not really. There's already been some talk that Brian Bruney will get a shot if Capps struggles, and there's the looming probable June callup of Closer of the Future Drew Storen out there as well.

If Capps pitches well, he keeps the job. If he doesn't, I think the Nats look elsewhere - especially in June when they'll be willing to bring up Storen. Heck, I think if Capps is even just MEDIOCRE, they bring up Storen and possibly give him the closing job. They used the #10 pick on him, and he tore up the minors - they want him as closer sooner than later...

I'd go with Madson, I think even tho Lidge is only out for a time Madson will take over the job even when he comes back. Lidge had a not so good season and they may use him as some trade bait to help elsewhere.
