Firstly, "the worst" shouldn't be applied to either of these dudes. Secondly, as always, it depends on your team. If you would still be good in sbs after trading Crawford, I'd deal him. Thirdly, consider keeping them both.
Adam Jones is on my bench right now with Kemp, Upton and Crawford in my OF spots and Tulowitzki in my Utility spot....I've got a GM that is interested in trading Halladay to me but I just don't know what to do for a fair deal - any thoughts on how to pick up a pitcher...I really feel like i need at least one solid guy since im so thin on the mound....here are the rosters
My Roster
C- McCann 1B-Youkillis 2B-Ian Stewart 3B-Longoria OF-Crawford - Kemp - Upton U-Tulowitzki SP-Kershaw, Webb, Irvin Santana, David Price, Max Scherzer RP-Papelbon - Rivera Bench-Liriano - Joe Nathan - Alexi Ramirex - Adam Jones - Cantu
His Roster
C-V-Mart 1B-Morneau 2B-Cano 3B-Reynolds OF-Bartlett, Cruz, Hamilton U-Michael Young SP-Halladay, Billingsly, Harden, Ubaldo Jiminez, Slowey RP-- Broxton, Franklin Bench-Doumit- Hardy- Ibanez - Juan Rivera - JA Happ
5 starting pitchers, and it's weekly starts (also start two RP)
First off, thanks for the advice on mine. I think the advice you gave me is actually what you should consider in your league as well. Maybe package adam jones and someone else for a pitcher in a tier below Halladay. There is always going to be SP come out of nowhere to be solid contributers. Try and keep your 2 studs if you can.
I'd talk to him about Halladay some, involve Jones in the talks and then make a show of you downgrading to Ubaldo to get a deal done. After talking about and resisting a trade of Halladay the guy may be more willing to let Ubaldo go cheaper than he should.
