Do this trade? *WHIR*

I give J Werth and Javy Vazquez and get Ichiro and Beckett. I want to unload Vaz but I feel like Werth is due for a monster year while Ichiro is on the downside...

I wouldn't take that trade, marginal upgrade if you ask me. Even if Javy has an era around 4 he's still going to get you 15+ W's/200+ K's which is very valuable. I agree with what you are thinking on the other two guys involved but think you can probably land a better SP in return for that package.

i would do it u get the better player in both positions, beckett is a top 10 pitcher and vazy has a tendency to do horribly after a breakout season, kinda like al leiter did, plus ichiro i good for 200 hits .330 + average, 30-40 steals and now that he hits 3rd, close to 100 rbis take the deal and run

What about countering with...

Morneau and Vaz for Morales and Beckett?

i like the 2nd one. im not a fan of Vazquez. i think you can forget his ERA being anywhere close to what it was in Atlanta. im thinking 4+ back in the AL in Yankee Stadium.
i would also rather have Morales over Morneau. i havnt checked recently, but while doing pre rankings before spring training there was concern over Morneau's back. that raised a red flag to me and i had no interest in him.
Beckett is going to be better than Vazquez and i think Morales is atleast even if not better than Morneau even if healthy.
