We use CBSSportsline during the season, but the draft is live, a chance for everyone to meet face to face at least one time per year. Live draft is much more enjoyable and exciting than online draft. Because we have to coordinate the date with everyone, it tends to be difficult to come up with a date everyone is available. This year just happened that the best date is a week after the season start - we are allowing the stats for the first week to apply. There is no special advantage just because the season has already started - everyone still on a level playing field - you are free to bid for a player who has already hit 5 homeruns in the first week (remember Chris Shelton two years ago?) - everyone still have the same budget - (this puts a new wrinkle to the bidding - how much do you bid for someone who came out of the gate struggling, or on fire?).
