I've been offered R. Biddle for D. Graves in trade and U. Urbina might be possible off waivers. Thanks a lot for any inputs.

Winning may not be everything, but losing isn't anything.
You have a pretty solid team . Your infield is amazing .
That said, I wonder about the direction you went into with your bench . Many of your big injury risk players are outfielders, yet you do not have a decent backup outfielder on your bench.
I would not do that Graves for Biddle trade, as Graves at has a slightly brighter future .
Picking up Urbina would not be a bad move if your league allows you to put players on the DL .
Good luck. This team should definately be a competitor .
Okay, I'm a little unclear as to overall strategy. Do I need to have a backup for each position on my roster? If I can get Urbina who would you give up? As far as outfielders go, the best left on Waivers are:
S. Finley
M. Grissom
J. Gibbons
M. Cameron
J. Guillen
B. Wilkerson (1B, OF)
T. Salmon
B. Williams
I could drop N. Johnson and pick up Wilkerson, who can play both 1B and OF. What do you think?

I agree with Short about needing an outfielder on your bench. The strategy should generally be to identify players who are injury risks and find reliable backups. Your OF does have some risk, so you should have at least one insurance marker in that position.
Of the OF you listed, I like Finley or Grissom, probably giving the nod to Grissom 'cause it sounds like Alou is gonna move Bonds to cleanup and hit Grissom #3, meaning Marquis is gonna see lots of nice, fat, hittable pitches.
As for picking up Urbina, you could prob. drop Speier, pick up Urbina, throw him on the IL, then reacquire Speier if he clears waivers or, if you still feel the need for a 3rd RP, likely find an equally attractive sleeper reliever if he doesn't.
Hope that helps, and I don't lead you astray. Good luck!

Is it a bad idea to go without a backup 2B? Plus L. Walker just got hurt again so I'm thinking of dropping him and picking up both Grissom and Gibbons.
