Rate/rank these teams, WHIR

Okay, I'll spend some time on yours in return if you spend some time ranking these teams. 12 team mixed, 5x5 roto, 23 man rosters. This was an auction draft and some of these players were keepers, so if you wonder how some of these players ended up on the same team, that's how.

The formatting is a bit goofy (exported from CBS), but if you read it like this: C C 1B 2B 3B SS MI CI OF OF OF OF OF U P P P P P P P P P then it's actually pretty good.

Anyway, I'd love to see some rankings, or tiers, or whatever commentary you have on these teams. I'll post to yours in return.

I'll give it a shot, but please also look at mine.

Team A: Like the starting pitching & AVG. Seems like you may need a few more steals, and maybe HR. You realize Nathan is injured I hope. So you could use more saves.
Team B: Avg is a concern here. Votto had a very high BABIP rate, I expect Bartlett to regress to the mean, et cetera. SP is good here, but lacks imo a top 5 starter.
Team C: OF is killer! nice job! Strongest team I think. Could trade for more pitching

Thanks for the reply. I feel like you sort of ran out of energy after team C.... I appreciate the effort regardless, I realize it's a long post. I just think it's a lot easier to rate teams when you can see all of them.

Alright, it seems I may be asking too much. I was hoping to get some overall unbiased feedback, but I'll settle instead for comments on my team. I'm Team C and I'd appreciate your thoughts on my team. I'll post to yours in return if you leave a link.

For a league this deep, you have a collection of collection of stud players. You are also starting some players who are pretty far from studs (especially, but in a league this deep, that is to be expected and is acceptable. You might want to consider trading a stud for some depth (especially in the outfield).

I think your team looks very strong... Your infield is ridiculous really, and you have a nice combination of speed and power. I'd say you could use a big bat in the OF, but you seemed to have realized that already. It'd be nice to get a guy that will poke 30+ in your OF though. You should be in great shape in SB with Reyes and Craw plus Phillips and Rios as well... Your avg and R should be strong as well.



Really, in a league this deep, your team is pretty stacked. I don't see another team with batters as strong as yours, although like I said, a power OF bat would be the only tweak, and it probably is cutting hairs.

Your starting pitching is pretty good, although I'd be worried about having to rely on Myers, Penny, Young, and Marcum coming back strong this season... Do you need to start all of them?

I could see a couple coming back strong (Marcum and Young being the most likely in my book), but it'd be tough to rely on all 4.


You should be able to scour the WW and find some to go along with Rivera and Nunez... I'd probably prefer to offset them with an additional closer at the expense of one of the four I mentioned above.

If you're looking to deal, I'd look to move a well rounded bat for another 2nd tier starter.

I think E & K are the best. F & J are the worst. That was a tough list to rate!
I think C has one of the best offenses, but the pitching with Wainright, Penny, Myers, Young I dunno that seems a lil weak. Halladay alone cant keep the pitching up.
