This would put a major damper on my drafting of Corey Hart. Dye is a solid player good luck to him where ever he lands.

That isn't surprising, pretty much is the reason Dye isn't on a team yet.

I'm still going with my darkhorse pick of the Nationals, reports have hinted at it, and they come back with 'we want to stay within the organization.' But still no real movement from them to fill the Dukes void.

It appears we have some corroboration for the Brewers / Dye info:

http://msn.foxsports.com/mlb/story/MLB- ... uzz-021510

The Brewers made a run at free-agent outfielder Jermaine Dye within the past week, but the talks failed to produce an agreement, major-league sources say.

If the Brewers had signed Dye, they would have traded another of their outfielders, most likely right fielder Corey Hart, to clear both money and playing time.

The Brewers and Nationals are believed to have discussed Hart. The Nats, who have been looking for a right fielder since releasing Elijah Dukes, also have been linked to Dye.

Well now you know I don't lie...lol. Anyways, I'm not sure that talks have officially failed. As of a text today from my guy, he has indicated that they are still talking so it's not completely dead in the water.

If Dye goes to the Brewers, do y'all see him as an everyday player or close to it?

MASNSports.com's Ben Goessling says the Nationals are still looking for a right fielder. They were earlier talking with Dye. Is that a dead end or still a possibility? I'm sure they're rather see Milwaukee sign Dye and then trade Hart to them.

I guess the only thing I can really say anymore on this situation is, only time will tell. I think Dye is asking for too much for really any club to sign him. So unless he can come down in his price I see him being a free agent for a while.
