wisdom of the crowds projections....OFers at 100+ MDP, projected for 25+ SB's and single digit HR's, you get them in this order:

Z-Score	MDP	Name AB	H R	HR	RBI	SB	AVG
13.92 116 Denard Span 552 164 92 8 55 25 0.298
13.38 150 Julio Borbon 544 156 82 7 50 40 0.288
13.17 139 Nyjer Morgan 536 154 82 3 45 46 0.287
12.19 103 Michael Bourn 524 139 83 4 43 49 0.266
12.06 160 Juan Pierre 496 144 76 2 36 45 0.290
11.69 171 Rajai Davis 451 127 68 5 43 45 0.280
11.50 215 Dexter Fowler 456 125 81 6 50 28 0.274
9.60 269 Drew Stubbs 427 109 69 9 47 25 0.254
8.59 270 Carlos Gomez 442 111 64 6 42 27 0.250
8.43 348 Brett Gardner 342 90 59 3 30 32 0.264

Gardner's projected AB's seems a little low at 342 AB's. Hoping for 400+

I drafted Davis in the last round, but just dumped him in favor of Pierre off the FA list. Here's hoping Pierre keeps on tearing it up for one more year.

Career Major League AVG of .280 and Minor League AVG of .305.
2008 AVG between SF & OAK: .242, but a BABIP of only .287
2009 AVG: .305, but a BABIP of .366

I don't think .290 is unreasonable to project?

Steals?

2009: 41 in 390 ABs
2008: 29 in 214 ABs (OAK & SF)
2007: 49 in 401 ABs (SF, PIT, AAA)

EDIT: And he's got RICKEY now!!! ;-D

I'm thinking the same thing.

one of the OF i drafted late (round 21 in a deep league) was Rockies OF Dexter Fowler. i was thinking he is going to bat 2nd full time, but i read now that in tomorrow's opening game Seth smith is getting the start against RH pitcher and that is something that could happen more often because Smith hits RH pitchers good.
Seth Smith, who is better against righties, will get the start with Yovani Gallardo on the mound for the Brewers. Fowler will start the second and third games of the season against Brewers' left-handers Randy Wolf and Doug Davis. The Rockies will likely stick to this plan at least for a couple weeks, so be sure to sit Fowler when a right-hander starts on the mound for the opposition.

i do not like the sound of that. there are more RH pitchers in baseball so if the Rockies want to use some type of platoon there that is going to really hurt Fowler. its not like Fowler was bad against RH pitching in 2009- .240 AVG/ .357 OBP/ .372 SLG/ .729 OPS in 296 AB compared to LH pitching in 2009- .321 AVG/ .377 OBP/ .482 SLG/ .859 OPS in 137 AB.
