I would take the four hitters and Halladay. Its enticing to have the reigning AL Cy Young winner, but there is plenty of pitching to be had later. All signs point to a monster season for Halladay which is why I choose him over Greinke. You would have a great nucleus in your infield with: A-Gon at 1b, Han-Ram at ss, and V-Mart at C. Holliday is should post OF elite numbers.
Thanks for the feedback guys. I guess I right now I'm slightly leaning towards dropping Martinez. He's 31 years old, isn't the rule of thumb that cathers really start to decline in production after they turn 30? Or does that not matter since he'll be playing more 1B and DH for the Red Sox?
Any other opinions on my keeper quandry? I probably only have until later tonight to make a final decision...
I agree with the other posters that dropping Vmart is the best decision based on the very real possibility that A Gonzalez will be traded this year to a better park and a better team. I do think it's pretty close; his numbers with the Red Sox last year were very good and I do think that his switch to 1B will slow his decline.
