Thanks fellas for reaffirming what I was believing. Sometimes you need some other voices to set you straight. I do want some more pitching even a Beckett, which we have had talks, but the owner keeps driving Hamilton down. I'll wait. I think a piece like G Jones can get me some closer help especially if he starts hot.

Cheers.

Thanks for the help with mine...sorry I didn't get to reply sooner. In any case, I'm glad you didn't make the trade. Hamilton's value right now is pretty low. To be honest, where he's being drafted, his value can really only go up IMO.

Hang tight and see where the season takes him

I'd hold on to Hamilton. At this point his value can't get much worse. Last year he was a Second Round pick for me and he still has the possibility to regain that value this year

I like the Rodriguez/Span offer a lot. You get two useful players for one with a lot of question marks. Yes, you might regret it if Hamilton rebounds to '08 levels but thinking about it in reverse how much would you pay to get Hamilton from someone else? I think not as much as this? Another thing is Hamilton isn't starting for you right now and Wandy would. I'd also say you probably can't hurt yourself pushing for the small draft upgrade. If he's already moved to a better offer he likes Hamilton and my guess is he would not let that be a deal breaker.

Thanks for the help with mine.

Totally agree here. His value is pretty low right now due to the injury concerns, and I fully expect him to rebound, just not to mammoth numbers. Once the season starts, you should be able to get more for him.

I'd also take the Wandy/Span deal. Your OF is very good already, and your rotation would definately be improved by adding Wandy. I also don't see any harm in holding onto Hamilton for a week or two into the season. Hopefully by then he will increase in value. I agree with the poster that said that Hamilton's value won't drop that much if he struggles the first week but will increase a lot if he does well.

The updated offer is decent but I would still hang onto hamilton. Not really a fan of Span...his nothing special. Not buying Wandy this year. Wandy will be good but I don't think he will repeat last years numbers especially with an even worst houston team.

I still say hold onto Hamilton.

I agree with the others and would hold off on trading him until you can either get a better offer or wait until the season starts and see how Hamilton does.

Hate to sound like a broken record but I agree with the majority and think you should hang onto Hamilton for now. If he's quick out of the gates then I would start considering offers.

Thanks for answering mine.

This pretty much sums up how I feel about it. I definitely understand your reservations about trusting Hamilton's health but he can still rake and he plays half his games in Arlington. Give him a chance to put up some numbers for you while increasing his trade value, then try to move him if you're confident it won't last.
