Oh I know. I'm spamming refresh on my stupid lineup page Seems silly. I better be able to grab a replacement before I'm dragged off to an Easter party!
2B Ian Kinsler still has not made any significant steps forward in his recovery from a high-ankle sprain. The Rangers were hoping he'd be ready by the time he was eligible to return from the disabled list (Saturday), but are now just hoping he can play sometime during the nine-game road trip to Cleveland, New York and Boston that begins on Monday. Kinsler has been on the DL during each of his five major league seasons.

The plan is for Kinsler (ankle) to be activated from the 15-day disabled list on April 21 for the opener of a series in Boston, the Forth Worth Star-Telegram reports.
Kinsler received a cortisone shot on Thursday, and barring any setbacks is expected to begin running on Sunday or Monday. He'll likely be destined for a minor league rehab assignment late next week.

Is an ankle injury like this something that could linger all season? I'm having flashbacks to Webb last year which seemed to have an endless two week prognosis. It was one step forward and two steps back until they finally shut him down. Obviously a shoulder's a different beast than an ankle, but it makes me nervous nonetheless.
Any comparable injuries that I'm not thinking of for comparison?

Kinsler (ankle) will start his rehab assignment on Thursday by serving as the DH in extended spring games, the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports.
Spin: Kinsler will spend the weekend in Arizona and then head to either Double-A Frisco or Triple-A Oklahoma City for several games before possibly coming off the DL next weekend. "I think there's going to be pain for the rest of the season, but I can run," Kinsler said. Given those comments, and Kinsler's expected place in the middle of Texas' lineup, it's hard to see Kinsler approaching 30 steals again this season so temper your expectations a bit.
