What do you think? I already have Miguel Cabrera so it makes me heavy on 1B, but I think getting the best player in the deal could be huge.

As much as i love Howard, i dont think you CAN do it. Who would you start at 2B and 3B if you lost Pedroia/Youk? You got noone else. He's giving you 2 1B's when you already have MCabb and Youk has position eligibility at a weaker 3B position this year.

Yeah you get Howard at 1B but now you move MCab to Util (assuming you have Util) and you got bums at 2b and 3b.

Otherwise you got MCab at 1b, Youk at 3B and pedroia and 2B and you still have Ludwick (which is no chump and a steal where you got him).

Unless he's willing to throw in a 2b like a Cano or a 3B like a beckham..then i really dont see this working well for you.

What the poster above said was perfect. It will be overkill at 1b and you will severly weaken other positions. Stick with what you have.

I'm OK with having to start Young at 3B, because although hes no Youk, you would at least have a starter there and then could trade off a 1B for other positions. But losing Peds at 2B with NO other 2B on your roster is too much of a deal breaker. I REALLY like Howard and Votto, but it spreads your squad wayyyyy too thin elsewhere.
