missed first 3 rounds, IS THIS SALVAGEABLE? (WHIR)

i had created a mini-cheatsheet for later rounds and yahoo decided to use it instead of their settings (GRRRR), and somehow my 12 team H2H league had already gotten to the third round when i entered 7 minutes late (march madness had gotten to me). I was the first pick :(:(:(:(, I've been doing fantasy baseball for years and never had first pick, i was beside myself. Luckily a number of the people in this league are novices... soo... i might have salvaged myself, LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU THINK.

I love your pitching staff. Your hitters are eh considering you could have had Pujols/Hanley.

i think whats worse than the 1st pick is that for the 24/25th picks I got Zobrist and Reynolds instead of Ichiro/Pedrioa/etc.

If you hit on some good sleeper type guys then you're golden if they are novices.

Look at it this way - You say you've never had the 1st pick of the draft. Well it's still the case after this. Damn March Madness.

If you forget about the fact that you autodrafted and missed out on the best player in baseball(try to)...Nothing wrong with this team. Upton is awesome, Reynolds and Zobrist are very solid. Jones Heyward Riemold Stubbs Happ all have HUGE upside. If its NOT a keeper league, brag about Heyward until someone pays something ABSURD for him. It happens every year. I traded Jay Bruce for Sabathia his rookie year, I traded Wieters for Matt Holiday in a league last year that got me to the championship. If it's a keeper league, then you've got your next few first round picks locked down.

I'm not sure i'm sold on mark reynolds or zobrist, but assuming this isn't a big money league, i think this makes for kind of a nice challenge.

I think this team is definitely salvageable...would i bet on your to win the title...probably not, but it's def doable. I'd try and look to see who breaks camp with the rays of the sean rodriguez, desmond jennings, reid brignac combo...and roster that person. To me inge is droppable, i never bought his bat, but he certainly proved me wrong in the past. Also, might look into a speed guy, and if he has a matchup vs. posada or another crappy throwing catcher just start him, because you feel a little short speed...i suppose stubbs could likely be that guy though.

To a previous poster's point def look for someone to overpay for a young (soon to be) stud. Especially in the OF...there are probably plenty of breakout candidates on the WW, travis snider, cameron maybin types.
