These guys are keepers, I call then waiver wire, except Pena
Carlos Pena Howie Kendrick Colby Rasmus Jhonny Peralta Garrett Atkins
Team one is absolutely terrible? What? Hell I'd take that damn squad, has the #1 Catcher in the league, #1 SP, Top 5 3B, Top 5 SS, Couple really good closers and then power bats that fill stat sheets such as Berkman and Pena... Yes Howie, Rasmus and Peralta aren't top keepers, but Howie is a raved about 2B every year, Rasmus has a sweet spot in St. Louis this year hitting ahead of Pujols and Holliday and Peralta had a down year last year but has multiple position eligibility. Added to the fact that this squad has the #3 overall pick. Its not THAT bad of a squad at all.
Look at other squads when your considering you have to pick a couple to keep out of: Chris Young, Macier Izturis, Christian Guzman, Randy Wells, Luke Gregerson Michael Cuddyer, Vernon Wells, Orlando Hudson, Ryan Madson, Rich Harden Marco Scutaro, Jonathan Sanchez, Jered Weaver
Team 4 has the least scrubbiest backend keepers, but also has a pick that is 5 worse then your 'absolutely terrible' squad...
Yeah, right, Peralta. I'd like to see the (OTHER) owners roster.
Joe Mauer Ryan Zimmerman Lance Berkman He's old Derek Jeter Carlos Pena His average stinks, and could be his last year in baseball Howie Kendrick He's okay. Forget the .320 average Colby Rasmus He's good Jhonny Peralta Your joking? Garrett Atkins No hope
Tim Lincecum he's good Max Scherzer He'll get rocked by Yanks, Sox and the rest of the AL, including Rays Ryan Dempster good Ted Lilly good, injury prone Jose Valverde good David Aardsma spring numbers SUCK. (1) year fluke? Brandon Lyon Has to beat out Lindstrom. why are so many setup men keepers? who has Broxton in your league? Brandon Morrow See the Scherzer quote Joey Devine Tommy John, injury. It's always nice to have a 7th inning guy as a keeper?
Can I take Mauer, Jeter, Zimmerman, Rasmus, Lincecum, into the draft and select new keepers?
