OUTFIELD - Overvalued / Undervalued

Postby Moss84 » Fri Mar 26, 2010 2:32 pm

Scoring is 1 pt per hit, run, rbi, sb, hbp, bb, 2 pts per double, 3 for triples, 4 fopr HRs

12 team h2h Keeper Mixed league auction.

I'm looking for Players to target that are undervalued and players to Nominate that are Overvalued and will get money off the board.

These are players that I feel are difficult to value for 2010:

Nick Swisher (NYY)
BJ Upton (TB)
Vernon Wells (TOR)
Alex Rios (CHW)
Austin Jackson (Det)
Juan Rivera (LAA)
Franklin Gutierrez (SEA)
Vlad Guerrero (TEX)
Josh Hamilton (TEX)
Jason Heyward (ATL)
Marlon Byrd (CHC)
Jay Bruce (Cincy)
Corey Hart (Milw)
Conor Jackson (ARZ)
Manny Ramirez (LAD)
Kyle Blanks (SD)

I'll answer yours.

Nominate Heyward right off the bat, and see how much money you can get off the board with that- just like Strasburg. That's the one that jumps out at me.

I've highlighted the guys I'd target in green. Rios has been written off too soon IMO. I still think he's capable of a cheap 20/20/.275 moving to a hitter friendly park. Same goes for Corey Hart, 20/20 capability going late in drafts. Bruce was pretty unlucky last year and should be a 30 HR lock if healthy in that park. If he can hit more liners his avg could rise to respectability as well. Hamilton could go either way really depending on health, but I'd be willing to gamble on a stud like that who can carry a team. CoJack is still solid after his illness last year. Noone really jumps out as an avoid. Upton could still be overvalued but in your pt system and in a keeper he could very well warrant his pricetag.

I think Hart needed a year like last year, from what I hear he is prime for good year this year.
