I picked him up 240th overall and feel thats a steal!!! Hes so low on ADP and yet he has been solid with exception of last year.... Every article ive read indicates a huge rebound... he dropped 15 pounds and wants to drop more.... his mindset has changed this year.... just seems good.... what does everyone think?
Last year was actually his best year out of the last 3. He probably is getting drafted too late but he is no longer anywhere near an ace level pitcher and hasn't been for a long time now. He is starting to break down physically as well so the innings aren't likely to be over 175 or so either.
He can mutilate your WHIP, literally all by himself.

^It was absolutely vicious and amazing what he could do to a team's WHIP on a week to week basis.

There's enough late round value in pitching that might still avoid him in favour of upside picks, but I wouldn't avoid him completely just on priciple either. The potential for bounce back is still there after all (although maybe not a huge bounce back).

And I agree, he walks too many...but at least his K% went back above 20% in 2009. He's been living off of his pre-2008 years for the last couple years. On the brightside, at least his value is dropping far enough that he's not such a big investment anymore:
