Draft done... How's my team/ Biggest needs - WHIR

Postby plapre3 » Thu Mar 25, 2010 11:10 pm

So after liking my keepers a good deal, I realized that I backed myself into a bit of a corner as the proper draft began with a run on closers and I was left scrambling for mediocrity. Overall, I think my team is pretty decent, mostly because scarce positions are covered in a deep, 14 team league. ***Please consider team makeup and please review the league setup (bottom of post) carefully, since it skews value of certain types or players a bit. In particular OPS, QS-L, and the fact that we start 5 starters and 3 relievers each week make a big difference.

Mostly I'm looking for feedback on a few areas:
1) How do you like my team/ chances overall?

2) What are my biggest areas of need? (I'm thinking starting pitching)

3) Anyone that has no business being on my roster? Any WW adds I should make?

I'll pass on the advice EVERYONE has been giving me: drop Gordon. Otherwise your team looks solid. It's good you didn't overspend on closers, now go get Perez and Lindstrom!

Your team is nice and well rounded. Not much of a believer in Helton this year. I would probably start Ludwick over him. Also don't like Gordon. I might drop him for Willingham. I like him to have a decent year and a better one than Grodon.

Thanks for the help with mine!

I like Ludwick to bounce back a bit this year. I also have him as a backup outfielder.

I kinda like Izturis this year. I read today that he will be getting work at 2B, 3B, and SS...so he could eventually be your backup infielder. Don't have much faith in Gordon this year (or ever, i guess), so I would drop him like everybody else says. Nothing really that glamorous on the waiver wire, but I like Izturis.

I agree with the rest about Gordon...but if you can just stash him on your DL...then what's the harm. If you don't have room, then I say drop him

other than that, not bad

thanks for helping with mine
