Ortiz is the more worthwhile bet here: Matusz could easily be the best SP in all of ball in a few years (or at least be one of the handful of guys that wouldn't sound ludicrous for), but you're not keeping him with only 4 keepers each year.

A rookie pitcher in the AL East? I'd rather roll the dice on one last year from Papi.

thanks guys im just saying when alex gordan comes back i dont need papi and i need to pitching as you can seeim not doing this trade for keepers just for this year my keepers for next year will be

I would do this trade. Who knows Matusz may be a keeper over Cano next year anyways. I think he will be solid this year.
