You probably took Phillips before he took Verlander, and Shields before he took his scrubs. If you would have rather had Verlander and Weeks/Kendrick why didn't you draft that way?
Not a good deal for you, pass.
I was hoping to get some better arms later in the draft, but pitchers flew off the board, so now I feel like my pitching is definitely my weakness so I'm hoping to improve it somehow.

I agree with the above comments, you should be able to get a better trade together for an elite pitcher... if pitchers flew off the board, other teams' offenses must also be deficient, target those teams and try to pry away their #2 or #1 SP for a similar offer
help me too:

For every Brett Myers there's a Nate McLouth...

You could definitely improve your pitching, but don't do it at that great a detriment to your offense. I say no deal.

What if I could do the same deal but get Greinke instead of Verlander from him?

Grienke probably sweetens the deal a bit more, although i don't know if the gap between verlander and grienke is going to be that huge. is that going to be negated by the dip from phillips to kendrick/weeks. i think i'd entertain some other offers, but if you are crazy about Grienke that's different.

I wouldn't do that, think you are giving up too much. But getting Grienke would make it a lot better.
