A guy in my league is looking to move 1 of his 1st baseman Joey Votto or Billy Butler for a catcher, I currently own Benji Molina. I have Mark reynolds at 1st but i could move him to 3rd in place of Ian Stewart. Should i make this trade, i would have to drop one of my bench players Theriot or Ordonez to pick up another catcher? The only catchers in FA right now are M Olivo or maybe I-Rod, Salty. I can always worry about another catcher down the road don't you think

Wait, you were offered this trade? Holy hell, yes. Votto for Molina is highway robbery.

Well, if it were Mauer/VMart/McCann, maybe not, but Molina? Votto is a 3rd round pick, a 1b with good power, good avg, hitting in one of the best hr parks in the majors. Easy, easy call. I'd do the trade for Butler, too, but Votto? I'd be tripping over myself to click the accept button.

Butler is a steal, Votto is felony robbery. I'd be all over this trade, and yes, you can worry about a catcher later.
