Andrew McCLUTCHen, first sig in forever, thoughts?

i'm not entirely satisfied with it, i believe the text is lacking (as usual), but i figured i could use some outside input.

I like the top one a little better. But not a fan of the background and the render looks a bit low quality. I've liked most of your sigs. This is definitely not your best...

Yeah, the contrast on the background makes the text a bit hard to read. Also, the text is simple and clean, but the background is rough and grungy. There's got to be some reconciliation there or else it looks out of place. I like the general direction you're going with it, just take some time to refine it.

I like the background, it's brown and orange 1970s style.
The thing that's not quite right is the pic of McCutchen, I can't quite put my finger on why.
Maybe he's the wrong kind of contrast/render compared to the background
